Custom Portals

Customer portals that answer the questions, your team keeps getting asked.

We build client, customer and B2B portals that let the people you work with log in and see their own orders, stock, shipments and reports, without ringing your office. Connected to the systems you already run, built by our in-house UK team.

What we build

Portals for the people who keep phoning you

Client portals for 3PLs

Your clients log in to see stock, orders, despatches and reports for their own account. Fewer "where's my order?" emails, and your team stops copying numbers out of the WMS.

CWelcome back

Customer self-service portals

Customers check order status, download invoices and documents, and raise queries in one place, against live data from your systems.

£2,140 · Submit

B2B trade ordering portals

Trade customers place orders and repeat orders against their own pricing and live stock. Orders drop straight into your systems with no re-keying.

→

Supplier and partner portals

Give suppliers, couriers or partners a controlled view of the data they need, such as purchase orders, ASNs or delivery schedules, and nothing they don't.

✓✓✓

Internal operations portals

The screens your own team uses to run the operation: exceptions, approvals and live numbers in one place instead of five tabs.

Every portal is built around your data and your rules. If you can describe who logs in and what they need to see, we can scope it.
How we build

Is a custom portal right for you?

A good fit if:

  • Your clients or customers regularly ask your team for information that already lives in your systems
  • Off-the-shelf portals don't match how your operation or pricing works
  • You run a WMS, ERP, accounts or ecommerce platform the portal needs to read from or write to
  • You want to own the software rather than rent it per user

Probably not the right fit if:

  • A standard portal bundled with software you already pay for does the job
  • You need something live within days rather than weeks
  • You're looking for a website or a brochure page rather than logged-in functionality (see Website Development)
No twelve-month mystery projects. A fixed price before we start, a working version in weeks, and software your team helped shape. You own the code at the end.
How we build it

Built on top of the systems you already run

A portal is only as good as the data behind it. Most of the work is connecting it properly to your WMS, ERP, accounts or ecommerce platform, so what your clients see matches what's actually happening on your floor. Integration is a core part of what we do: we've connected Mintsoft, StoreFeeder, Microsoft Business Central, couriers and ecommerce platforms for clients including Continental Textiles and Lama Fulfilment.
✔
Each user sees only their own account's data
✔
Data comes from your systems on a schedule or in real time, not from a second copy someone has to update
✔
Staged, retried and logged syncs, so a problem in one system doesn't quietly corrupt another
✔
Full source code and documentation handed over: no lock-in
Process

How a portal project goes

01
We scope it before we price it. We sit with the people who'll use the portal, on both sides, and map who logs in, what they see and which systems it touches. You get a fixed price for a defined first phase.
02
You see it working early. A usable version with real screens and real data is in your hands within weeks, while changes are still cheap.
03
Your users shape it. We work in short cycles and adjust as your team and a few friendly clients try it, so the version that launches is one they'll actually use.
04
You own it. We stick around. Full source code and documentation. Most clients keep us on to maintain and extend the platform, but that's a choice, never a hostage situation.
Portal case studies

Built on top of the systems you already run

A fulfilment company running on spreadsheets. We built them a proper ops platform.
CK Fulfilment · Custom client portal

CK Fulfilment had no central place for clients to access their data.

We built a branded portal where their clients view inventory, track shipments and access reports without contacting support, alongside a move of their internal operations to Microsoft 365.

Lama Fulfilment · Client-facing fulfilment system

A fulfilment company running on spreadsheets. We built them a proper ops platform.

Lama Fulfilment needed a central place for their clients to manage orders and track pick and dispatch progress, with real-time visibility across the warehouse floor. We built a bespoke platform in Laravel, connected to courier APIs and ecommerce platforms.

Questions

The things people ask before they start.

A secure, logged-in area where your clients, customers or suppliers see their own information, such as orders, stock, shipments, invoices and reports, pulled live from your systems. It's built around your processes rather than a generic template.
It depends on who logs in, what they need to see and how many systems it connects to. After a scoping conversation we give you a fixed price for a defined first phase, so there are no surprises. If your project is mainly connecting systems rather than building screens, our integrations typically cost £3,000–£10,000.
Most first releases of a custom build land in eight to sixteen weeks. You'll have a usable version to click through within weeks, not a big reveal at the end.
Almost always. We've connected Mintsoft, StoreFeeder, Microsoft Business Central, couriers and ecommerce platforms. Where a system has no API, we find a sensible route.
If one fits, use it. Custom makes sense when your pricing, workflows or data don't fit a template, when per-user fees add up, or when you need the portal to work with systems the off-the-shelf option can't reach.
Yes. You get full source code and documentation, with no lock-in. Any competent developer can pick it up.
Each user only sees the data for their own account. Access rules are agreed during scoping and built in from the start.
Most clients keep us on a support arrangement so the portal is maintained, monitored and improved as the business changes. That's a choice, not a requirement.

A short note is plenty. We reply within 24 hours, usually a senior engineer rather than a sales rep, with real questions about what you're trying to build.
