Integrations

Mintsoft and Business Central integration. API development.

Your warehouse and your ERP, without the re-keying.

We build custom integrations between Mintsoft and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central for brands, trade suppliers and the 3PLs that fulfil for them. Orders, returns, despatch confirmations and stock move between the two systems automatically, in both directions. We're an in-house software team in Lancashire, and we've built this exact link for Continental Textiles.

What we build

What we build between Mintsoft and Business Central

Orders into Business Central.
Marketplace and web orders fulfilled in Mintsoft brought into Business Central, mapped to the right customers, VAT and pricing at line level.
Wholesale orders back to the warehouse.
Wholesale orders, consignments, cancellations and item data sent from Business Central into Mintsoft, so the warehouse works from what finance has approved.
Despatch confirmations.
Despatches written back to Business Central so orders can be invoiced, including partial despatches across more than one parcel, without duplicates.
Returns and credits.
Returns passed through with correct pricing, VAT and country-aware customer mapping, ready for credit in Business Central.
Stock and item sync.
Item and stock data kept in step, with SKU, unit-of-measure and location mapping handled explicitly so the two systems don't drift apart.
How we build it

A middle layer, not a quick script

We put a middleware layer between Mintsoft and Business Central that owns the field mapping, the retries and the audit trail. Every flow is staged, retried and logged, and duplicates are caught on order and parcel ID, so a bad day in one system never quietly corrupts the other. Authentication is handled for both ends: Mintsoft API keys and Business Central's Microsoft Entra ID (OAuth 2.0) sign-in.

This is one part of our API and system integration service. Mintsoft only? See Mintsoft integration. Want the detail? Read Connecting Mintsoft to Business Central: what actually breaks.

How we build it

How it works

01
Discovery and mapping.
We map how orders, returns, stock and despatches move between your warehouse and your ERP, including the exceptions: partial despatches, returns, VAT and multi-country customers.
02
Build.
We build the middleware for each flow: authentication, staging, transformation and push.
03
Simulate, then go live.
Every flow runs in simulation mode first, so your team can test complete round trips without a single record touching live warehouse data. Then a controlled cutover with monitoring.
04
Support.
We run it, watch it, and extend it as your channels and processes change.

Business Central + Mintsoft · Middleware

Continental Textiles: warehouse and ERP, finally speaking the same language.

When Continental Textiles moved onto Microsoft Business Central while their 3PL ran on Mintsoft, we built the middleware between them, with orders, returns, despatches and stock flowing both ways. Every flow was tested in a full simulation mode before go-live, delivered alongside their ERP partner.
Questions

The things people ask before they start.

Most projects cost between £3,000 and £10,000. The price depends on how many data flows you need (orders, stock, despatches, returns, wholesale), how many sales channels and warehouses are involved, and how much VAT, pricing and customer mapping there is.
Typically 2–4 weeks. A single order and despatch flow sits at the shorter end. Larger projects with many two-way flows, several sales channels and a separate ERP partner involved take longer, and we'll tell you that up front after discovery.
Mintsoft's own integration documentation doesn't list a native Business Central connector. Mintsoft does provide an API for building custom connections to systems it doesn't support out of the box, and Business Central has a REST API for connecting outside systems. A custom integration connects the two through those APIs.
A Mintsoft user with an API key (Mintsoft keys expire after 24 hours unless an administrator sets them to never expire), and an app registration in Microsoft Entra ID so the integration can authenticate to Business Central with OAuth 2.0. We'll walk you or your ERP partner through both.
Both. We can be engaged by the brand running Business Central or by the 3PL running Mintsoft, and we'll work alongside your Business Central partner.
